The Society for News Design announces their lineup of speakers, including Belinda Ivey of KarBel Multimedia, for Unite & Rebel, their annual workshop being held in Charlotte, N.C. on April 19-21. The creative conference focuses on innovation, risk-taking and team building in media.
Belinda is collaborating with Terence Oliver, an associate professor at UNC Chapel Hill, to discuss how motion news graphics can be used in today’s news sites. The two will also hold a hands-on session as the back half of their talk. Oliver was also one of the committee members for Belinda’s Master’s thesis, “The Role of Explanatory Motion News Graphics in Online Journalism.”
